The GICA carries out the following missions:

Ensure the link between the different phases through which the products pass within the framework of the chains, help producers to integrate into them and encourage producers, processors and traders of agricultural products to work by means of production contracts.

Facilitate consultation between professionals (industrialists and farmers) and the administration in order to set the objectives of the various sectors and their implementation.

Balance the market by using appropriate mechanisms by referring to the data collected through the monitoring of processing campaigns and statistics of production and processing of agricultural and fishery products.
